I just came back to check things out, christmas day I resubbed I believe it was.
Back when I played a great deal I ran two accounts, my main I finally setup with a Apoc and Miner II's, my second account I created a character and trained up to a Iteron V as a hauler for my main.
Yes my main character is named "Barack", dummy me back then created my second account hauler and named him "Barrak". Very close names, wish I could change it some how .
With my Apoc/Miner II's and the Interon V hauling I could very easly strip belts in a few hrs, in fact I did this often back then. I used to jet a can from the Apoc and start dumping ore into it with the can window open and 1 ore set to the side to keep the window open, while the Iteron V would open the jet can, keep the window open and take all ore out but the 1 piece of ore.
Concerend about the new can flagging rules, I see this might seem like it would work well, if I saw some one coming up to my jet can I would just take the last piece of ore out, the can would explode and I would simply wait untol ore thief/flagger would leave, say hi etc. I am friendly and chatting at times.
Yes I sit on my comp the whole time I do this and watch TV.
I have not activated my second account yet... worried about haveing two characters with close names strip mining and over excited macro hunters. Yes I could fire up the second account and retrain a new character but that would take a lot of time.
I do not support macro miners in any way, but I actually do not care much about it. But everyone seems a bit jumpy about all this and shoot first ask questions later mentality, when in fact no one really knows what is going on behind a character ingame. No one owns any roid field in this game and can do what ever they like, in fact I am willing to bet that most fields ingame never get touched besides the close in ones were people complain about stripping. If the space I am in gets depleted I just move on.
Not sure if I want to resub my second accout at this moment.
That my be some pretty dry belts already if you can "quickly" mine them out on your own with that setup
You behavior will clearly show that you're no farmer*. I spotted one and could easily see that were something wrong the moment 3 low level rats appeared in the belt (system sec 0.6). None of the 4 Retrivers and the Hoarder paid any attention and soon some of them were taking a good deal of damage. Then suddenly they all warped out and a 6'th guy in a small frigate was sendt to deal with the rats, which he did incredible poorly, like attacking from far out of range.
Now if this had been any regular players I would bet that at least one of those Retriver would had launched drones against the rats. Please tell me you would too.
*: I put farmers and macro miners under the same term though the latter is a bannable offence while the former aren't. The end result for the game is the same though.
